Empowering Global Health and Well-Being
With the understanding that Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) are the leading cause of death worldwide and represent an emerging global health threat, our primary mission is to leverage our expertise and data resources to address the root causes of disease through focused upstream prevention (primordial, primary, and secondary) – community by community and on a global scale.
NCDs such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, chronic respiratory disease, diabetes, mental health disorders, and kidney disease are rapidly rising. However, most attention is typically focused on downstream crisis management of these chronic diseases and their complications. At Health Synergy Alliance (HSA) we are committed to harnessing the power of data and knowledge to policy and action for turning the tide in prevention of these diseases.

HSA envisions the potential for a foundational/pivotal change in addressing and managing NCDs and ultimately improving global population health.
A multisectoral approach, and confluence of major sectors – including healthcare, education, housing, food and agriculture, transportation, parks, and recreation (including spaces dedicated to safe physical activity). Engagement with community leadership and grassroots organizations is vital.
Establishing Learning Information Systems – surveillance using all possible data streams macro and micro level.
Earlier identification using screening guided by risk prediction using traditional statistics and/or AI.
Empowering Health Systems to take greater responsibility of the health of communities they serve.
HSA will create centers of excellence for community health and well-being improvement.
These centers will connect with academic institutions, health systems, and public health systems, establishing data-driven surveillance/learning protocols for health systems and connecting them to communities through orientation, education, and training of community health workers and social workers.
In parallel, HSA will implement an educational mission with a state-of-the-art knowledge base on chronic disease, risk factors, management, outcomes, etc. – establishing key outcome and process metrics emphasizing the important role of social determinants of health, lifestyle, and behavior change for factors such as smoking, alcohol, drugs, physical activity, evidence-based dietary guidance, etc.
By connecting multiple sectors and establishing a track record of iterative, evidence-based change, HSA will endeavor to continue to raise awareness and change attitudes and policy toward health and disease – not only influencing personal behaviors, but influencing policy
and practice in areas such as attention to the environment and sustainable development.
